NMED PRESS RELEASE
The New Mexico Department of the Environment (NMED) will host a virtual community engagement meeting in Los Alamos from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
The purpose of these routine quarterly meetings is to engage the community in a discussion on topics related to the work of NMED at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The NMED Hazardous Waste Office will provide an update on interim measures to control the hexavalent chromium plume. There will also be time for questions and short public statements.
To submit pre-prepared questions and to request interpretation or other assistance, please contact Beau Masse at 505.331.3665 or beau.masse@state.nm.us. Questions can also be asked during the meeting and do not need to be submitted beforehand.
