Rhyl College is gearing up for a huge community engagement event


COLEG Llandrillo, Rhyl prepares to welcome hundreds of local people to its community engagement event on Saturday 14th May.

A host of exciting, high-tech learning experiences and workshops will be on offer to suit everyone, from planetariums to slime workshops.

Plus, everyone will receive a free goodie bag and a chance to win a pair of Beats Studio headphones.

The event – which takes place from 10am to 2pm – will aim to bring people from the town and surrounding areas together and give them the opportunity to learn more about Coleg Llandrillo’s Rhyl Campus on Cefndy Road.

There will also be a careers event, which will provide an opportunity to speak and get career advice from representatives from various organizations including the fire, military and many other businesses.

The event is free and open to everyone, and you can also tantalize your taste buds with a wide range of delicious food options.

• Hydroponic workshops.

• Slime workshops.

You can tour the facilities, talk to course staff for September and see the college’s plans for campus development, including its new £11million Engineering Centre.

You will also be able to engage in a range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) related activities, including coding, robotics and engineering.
