COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Community Development Committee (CD Committee) announces a 30-day public comment period on the following amendment to the 2021 Annual Action Plan of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan : substantial amendment to the 2021 annual action plan Annual action plan The substantial amendment is that the city of Duluth will increase the total project amount of the acquisition demolition program of the fiscal year 2021 action plan by 92 $879 to $216,368.74. Reprogrammed funds are from the 2019 Action Plan Specialized Enhancement/Burn Reduction Project for $83,726.74 and SIA Burn Reduction and Coordination Action Plan for $39,763 . The purpose of this reprogramming is to consolidate efforts for increased burn elimination at a faster rate. There is a 30-day public comment period for the substantive amendment and funding recommendation from February 19, 2022 through March 22, 2022. All comments will be shared with the CD Committee A virtual public hearing via WebEx will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. by the Community Development Committee. The Community Development Committee will hold its meeting by other electronic means pursuant to Section 13D.021 of the Minnesota Statutes in Response to the COVID-19 Emergency. Some Committee members will participate by videoconference. Due to the COVID-19 emergency and the closure of City facilities, comments from the public will not be taken in person. However, members of the public can monitor the meeting and provide public feedback on agenda items through WebEx Events. Visit https://duluthmn.gov/live-meeting to access the meeting. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments to Suzanne Kelley prior to the meeting.
