The principal of Krause Elementary School moves up to a district-wide position.
Brenham ISD announced on Tuesday that Courtney Mason will move into the role of Community Engagement Coordinator. Mason served at Brenham ISD for 10 years, all as Principal of Krause Primary School, and has 18 years of education experience.
The district said Mason’s new role will include providing programs and services to promote and encourage parents to be involved in their child’s education. Mason will organize parent meetings and parenting classes, in addition to compiling information and resources to activate parent participation.
Mason will also be responsible for building relationships with community partners and organizations, liaising the district with the Brenham ISD Education Foundation, and participating in outreach events to increase student retention and parent engagement. in the programs available.
Mason said it’s been “an incredible ten years at Krause Elementary,” and that this change allows him to “continue to support education and bridge the gap between our schools and our community.”
The district plans to post the position of Krause Elementary School principal today (Wednesday) and will form a campus committee to help identify the best person to fill the role. He hopes to present the position to the board for approval at its June 21 meeting.st Meet.
