Highley will lead St. Claire HealthCare’s community engagement and philanthropy efforts

St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) is pleased to announce that Mindy Highley will join the SCH family as Executive Director, Community Engagement and Philanthropy.

“I’m beyond excited to join this team,” said Highley. “St. Claire’s Mission speaks personally to who I am and I look forward to serving the people of Eastern Kentucky.

Originally from Morehead and a longtime resident of Owingsville, Highley will lead SCH’s efforts to expand its community engagement and philanthropy initiatives throughout the region while providing oversight of the St. Clear.

Highley, who recently retired from a nearly 30-year career with the Office of Alumni Relations and Development at Morehead State University, is credited with spearheading fundraising campaigns that raised tens of millions of dollars to support facilities, scholarships and other priorities.

“Private giving has had a huge impact on the lives of students at Morehead State and is equally important to St. Claire’s mission,” Highley said. “Gifts from generous donors, regardless of the size of the donation, impact SCH’s ability to expand the services it provides, renovate and expand its facilities, and provide financial assistance to the uninsured or underinsured throughout the region. »

While fundraising will be a primary focus of her new role, Highley will also be responsible for overseeing, planning and implementing programs and activities designed to improve community engagement and volunteer opportunities.

“So many people in the area understand and appreciate the value of St. Claire to the communities it serves and want to help make a difference, but don’t necessarily know how to give back,” Highley said. “I want to connect with these people and help them discover ways to get involved and help support the mission of SCH.”

She will assume her new role at CHS later this fall.
