It is an exciting time to work for Live & Local as we refresh our focus in response to COVID-19, offering existing and new streams of work supporting a range of partners, communities and stakeholders.

The position offers autonomy and flexibility; working remotely for a 30-year Arts Council England national portfolio organization that has been a confident and effective intermediary for a range of arts and community development activities. It is an opportunity to have a significant impact on the local arts sector by enabling high quality artistic activities in partnership with local communities, voluntary groups, local authorities and artists.

The Community Engagement Officer reports to the Engagement Manager and works alongside the Audience Engagement and Artist teams. Engagement teams work together across the organization to drive initiatives and manage relationships among all of our stakeholders.

The role is a key element in establishing lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with communities and audiences. This will be essential to further align us with the Arts Council of England’s ‘Let’s Create’ strategy and their new investment principles ahead of our next national portfolio application and to continue to meet the needs of our local authority and other funders. funds.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing relationships with professional colleagues and voluntary organizations, proven project management skills and working knowledge of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders are required, as is an understanding of the power of the arts and culture at the professional, local, community and volunteer levels.

This position is offered in the form of annualized hours, remote salaried position.
